Hey all.

I am new to JEDI, and trying to install it on my laptop under Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS
I clonned the repository, and am running the following command:

“ecbuild -DPython3\_EXECUTABLE=$(which python3) /source/jedi-bundl”

However, I get an error associated to OOPS:

"CMake Error at oops/CMakeLists.txt:51 (find\_package):
Could not find a package configuration file provided by “Eigen3” with any
of the following names:

```
Eigen3Config.cmake
eigen3-config.cmake
```

Add the installation prefix of “Eigen3” to CMAKE\_PREFIX\_PATH or set
“Eigen3\_DIR” to a directory containing one of the above files. If “Eigen3”
provides a separate development package or SDK, be sure it has been
installed."

I wonder if I should install Egein3 or if there is something wrong with my env. variables…
Any help will be appreciated!

Cheers

Joao

Hi,

Have you installed [Spack-Stack](https://jointcenterforsatellitedataassimilation-jedi-docs.readthedocs-hosted.com/en/latest/using/jedi_environment/spackbuild.html) on your laptop? JEDI depends on multiple libraries including Eigen3.

Thank you for the reply.
No, I haven’t. I am just following the instructions at “[https://jointcenterforsatellitedataassimilation-jedi-docs.readthedocs-hosted.com/en/5.0.0/using/building\_and\_running/building\_jedi.html](https://jointcenterforsatellitedataassimilation-jedi-docs.readthedocs-hosted.com/en/5.0.0/using/building_and_running/building_jedi.html)”.
It doesn’t say anything about external libraries… just some GIT configuration needed.
Is there a more complete guide for installation somewhere else?

Cheers

Joao
