Is there anyone has a successful test case of assimilation surface obs with JEDI?
If so, I would appreciate sharing your raml and obs input files for me to test.

In my test case, I got an error, which I do not understand why geopotential\_height is needed for surface obs assimilation:

neededVars remaining after Vader::changeVar: 10 variables: eastward\_wind, northward\_wind, geopotential\_height, surface\_temperature, surface\_geopotential\_height, surface\_roughness\_length, land\_area\_fraction, wind\_reduction\_factor\_at\_10m, height, surface\_altitude
Field\_fail: Field geopotential\_height cannot be obtained from input fields.

0: Field\_fail: Field geopotential\_height cannot be obtained from input fields.
1: Field\_fail: Field geopotential\_height cannot be obtained from input fields.

I think we resolved this during EMC’s JEDI junction this afternoon, is that correct, Hui? If so, we can probably consider this “closed”?
