Lognormal DA

Hi there

I am on a project that wishes to introduce the lognormal approach for the moisture variables but I am having troubnle understanding where to introduce these changes.

Specifically the following 4 tings, I have spent the last 5 days trying to find these in the jedi core, to discover that some of them are in spack-stack. I am also trying to find Bmult which appears to form the control variable no B cost function but cannot find it in neither the JEDI nor spack-stack directories

  1. where to introduce a change to the cost function in 3dVAR so that the modal term is included.

  2. Where to change the covariances to be in terms of log q or rh

  3. Where the change the control variable so that is is B_{l}^1/2 ln x

  4. Where to change the Jacobian of the new cost function.
